Jacquemus clothes and accessories are simple lines, complex shades and eye-catching details. Minimalism is the basis of all collections. But at first, it was more likely not a concept, but a forced necessity: the details and complex cut required money that the designer did not have. Simon Porte Jacquemus moved to Paris from a small French village, and it took several more years of hard work before the guy's talent was noticed. In 2009, his mother dies, and, having decided that the fulfillment of his dream can no longer be postponed, he creates a brand and calls it his mother's maiden name. After all, inventing collections, he was inspired by her style. He also drew ideas from the cinema and from France itself - its history and culture. He immediately abandoned classic female proportions in favor of exaggerated volumes and obvious, but not intrusive sexuality: dresses that resemble elongated shirts, layered skirts, flounced tops, blouses with oversized collars and flared trousers.
